1% For Choice
Hi, I'm Gabi Day, Founder & Formulator, and I am a Latina mom by choice, for choice.
We donate 1% of our sales to the Center for Reproductive Rights because we believe that parenthood should always be a choice. Period.
In the process of trying to get (and stay) pregnant, I had an abortion for an ectopic pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy after trying for years to conceive, but it was not viable. That abortion saved my life.
I went through 2 more miscarriages and 18 more months of fertility treatments until I had my identical twin boys in April of 2022. Those experiences made me more pro-choice than ever.
When SCOTUS ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade in June of 2022, I was (and still am) enraged and terrified at the future of our country. I fear for women and anyone who can become pregnant, especially for the most vulnerable among us, including people of color and those without financial privilege.
I also fear for the future of the reproductive endocrinology field and for the 1 in 8 couples who will experience the brutality that is infertility. Many "personhood" laws would ban and criminalize IVF, the very thing that enabled me to become a mother.
When I decided to launch Bright Body Baby, I knew I wanted to use this business as a force for good, especially in light of our new post-Roe reality.
We donate 1% of our sales to The Center for Reproductive Rights, the only global legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive rights. The Center addresses issues that advance women's reproductive health, self-determination, and dignity, including abortion, contraception, maternal health, and more.
We understand that not everyone will be happy to hear that we donate to a pro-choice cause. That's okay, because we are not for everyone, and you have the choice to support us, or not. We are proud to be a progressive-owned business.
